Our jeep Willys is civil version of Jeep; model CJ3A that was produced between 1949 and 1952. We have bought it in Croatia in 1994. In very bad shape without engine, with non-original power generating axels and leaf springs and without canvas cover. Body of the car was in extremely bad conditions and requested complete restoration.

Decomposing to the finest detail followed. Firstly, tinsmith works were made then sand cleaning, painting and putting up the parts that were original that we had. After that we have started to search for other original parts so we have procured original power generating axels and leaf springs, suspensions were adjusted, procured staring weal, repaired brake speared gear shift, low gear and differential. As power generating engine Jeep uses two original engines and Mercedes engine as substitute.

For complete restoration of vehicle it was needed four years and over a 1.000 hours of work. Jeep is registered in 1999 and since that time regularly participates on state old-timer meetings and rally's.

In year 2002 for the fist time in Croatia it was organized old-timer competition in category "A6" off road vehicles. In that competition our Jeep had won the title.

In the family we have other two Jeep vehicles from 1942 and 1943 that are in the faze of restoration, one of them is Willys-overland model MB and Ford model GPW.
